Colleen Odegaard, Anchor
Colleen Odegaard has been a news anchor for WCNC-TV since September 7, 1998. Colleen anchors the station's morning and midday shows.
She came to WCNC-TV from NewsChannel 46 in Salinas, California. There, Colleen co-hosted Eye on This Morning, a news and entertainment program. She also anchored Eyewitness News at Noon.
Raised in San Jose, California, Colleen graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism.
She began her career with KVTV-TV in Laredo, Texas as an anchor producer. Colleen worked as a reporter for KCBD-TV in Lubbock, Texas. She moved back to California to assume the primary anchor position at KCBA-TV in Salinas. She was honored by RTNDA for the Best Anchored Hour Long Newscast in 1996.
Colleen loves music! She enjoys singing, playing the guitar and the piano. If you ask her, she'll tell you she can't do any of the above very well.
She likes to spend time with her husband, Mariano, their two sons Anthony and Alden, and their jack Russell Terrier, Cooper.
