Person celebrity chef, Glenn Lyman is helping you tackle your tailgate with his recipe for pimento pepper poppers.

These treats are easy to make ahead of game day and once you fire up the grill at the tailgate they will be ready in no time.

The recipe is simple and all ingredient are cooked beforehand. Mix them in a bowl and stuff them into peppers that have been cut in half. As a fun trick to play on your fellow panther fans you can replace one bell pepper with a red hot chili pepper.

Pimiento Pepper Poppers

Makes 24 pieces
12 sweet baby bell peppers
8 oz pimiento cheese with jalapeno
¼ pound large shrimp, cooked and chopped
½ cup andouille sausage, diced
Hot sauce to taste, (optional)

• Preheat grill to medium-high
• Cut each pepper in 1/2, scooping out seeds. In a bowl mix together, cheese, andouille and shrimp. Season to taste with a pinch of salt, pepper and hot sauce.
• Divide cheese mixture evenly to fill the pepper halves. Place peppers, cheese sides up, on grill rack or grill grate coated with cooking spray. Cover and grill peppers 8 minutes or until bottoms of peppers are charred and cheese mixture is lightly browned.
• Place peppers on a serving platter. Garnish with green onion.
