NEW YORK – The holiday season has kicked off at Macy’s on 34th Street.

The famous holiday windows were unveiled outside the department store on Friday night.

This year’s theme for the six windows is “Believing the magic.”

The first window has Santa staged in a communications center where he receives Christmas wishes from all around the world.

One interactive window features an LED tree made of 1,000 crystal lights and a mix of traditional and modern Christmas touches.

A second interactive window features pinball buttons on the glass that measure how much you love the holidays.

Another window depicts elves and the magical feeling before Santa delivers gifts.

The store estimates about 15,000 people walk by the famous windows each hour.
