CHARLOTTE, N.C. – If you’re flying in or out of Charlotte Douglas International Airport and hunger strikes, good news: the airport’s highly anticipated Chick-fil-A is now open.

Among the first patrons — none other than NBC Charlotte investigative reporter Mark Boyle, who was at the airport Thursday morning and just had to get some breakfast.

The home of the “original chicken sandwich” took its first order at 5:01 a.m. Thursday. Naturally, it was a No. 1 combo for a Chick-fil-A biscuit.
