Car vending machines coming to south Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Every day, something new and innovative is coming out to save people their time and money.

If you’ve ever bought a car, you know how painstaking that process can be. One company coming to Charlotte is cutting out the middleman, which it says translates to lower price tags.

Carvana is an e-commerce platform for buying used cars. Construction is currently underway at their new location in south Charlotte.

Consumers can shop the cars online, review the contracts and sign them electronically before visiting the vending machine to pick up their new wheels.

Carvana vehicles also come with the peace of mind of a seven-day, no-questions-asked money back guarantee. It’s an unfamiliar concept to most but certainly, one that has people curious.

“It sounds like something I’d be interested in,” one passerby said. “It’s unusual and I’ve never seen anything like it before. It’s a cool building.”

In Plaza Midwood, Sushi Guru is a few weeks away from opening a new location. Limited by space, they plan to use lifts to double the number of parking spaces.

So whether you’re buying a new (or used) car or simply parking it, elevated lifts for your rides are coming to a Queen City location near you.
