After two California parents received a letter critiquing their apartment size and parenting skills, they took to Facebook. The letter quickly went viral.
According to KTLA, Mike and Kelly Bruning have lived in the same apartment in Mission Beach for nearly nine years. During that time, they have raised their two boys, ages 2 and 4, in the condominium that is built just steps away from the beach.
The couple was shocked when they received a letter from an anonymous person referring to themselves as the area's zip code, '92109.'
The anonymous writer said the parents were selfish for trapping their sons "in a tiny, one bedroom upstairs apartment" because the couple liked the beach.
"Kids need yard to play in. A swing set, or trike to ride when they want to, not just when it's convenient for you."
The couple responded by posting a picture of the letter to social media saying, "Now... this place just got interesting. We received this in the mail today... not everyone in 92109 is solid. Sometimes harassment comes (in) simple forms."
Facebook friends and family have come to the couple's defense writing comments on how the letter was 'ridiculous' and 'unreal.'
The parents assume the unidentified sender was a neighbor due to their misspelled names appearing on the front of the envelope, KTLA reports.
