HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- The legacy of the Huntersville "Cone Weed" continues to live on.

Huntersville Fire and about a dozen other partners are hosting a drive called #ConeWeedGivesBack on Sunday, December 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Fire Station 2 on Beatties Ford Road. Firefighters will be collecting donated good such as coats, socks, winter hats, new or gently used toys, cleaning supplies, toiletry items, twin sheets sets and blankets.

In addition to taking in donated items, those giving back will be able to enjoy live music, as well as the option of purchasing foods from the Smoke and Go Food Truck and a complimentary hot cocoa.
