HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- Huntersville Fire is tweeting their thanks after an anonymous person picked up the dinner tab for six firefighters on Wednesday.

A note left on receipt reads "thanks for your service" with a heart and "#OneTown."

"We say it often and we’ll say it again. We serve such an amazing community! We are surprised, daily, by thoughtful things the residents do for our staff. Every station has similar stories...daily drop-in visits, cookies, cakes, home made meals, greeting cards, homemade signs and mainly just smiles!" wrote Huntersville Fire on Facebook. "Thank you Huntersville residents, it’s our privilege to serve you!"
