MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. – Thanks to the Mount Holly Police Department, first grader Jordan Baxter got to experience a day in the life of an officer.

Jordan, who is a student at Ida Rankin Elementary School, won a raffle at the school’s fall festival that allowed him to spend his lunch break with a police officer. Major Brian Reagan delivered several items to Jordan, including a MHPD shirt, fishing rod, and more.

Not only did Jordan get to spend time with the officers, but he got to take a ride in a marked UTV. He even got to turn on the blue lights and the siren for his classmates at recess.

“The officers who attended this event were the real winners because we were able to spend time with Jordan for almost an hour and they learned he is an outstanding young man,” said Reagan.
