17-year-old student charged in connection with Hickory Ridge bomb threat

Police obtained search warrants and were able to link Jordyn ILana Levinson to the note that was left in the bathroom. She also submitted a written statement confessing to writing the note, and taking sole responsibility.

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. -- A 17-year-old student has been charged after making a bomb threat at Hickory Ridge High School on Tuesday morning.

Students left Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg around 7:50 a.m. after this message was found a girls' bathroom: "There's a bomb in the school. Can't find it? You will soon enough. Let's make another Parkland High School. Good Luck."

Officials investigated the threat and were able to identify Jordyn ILana Levinson as the suspect.

Levinson has been charged with making a false bomb report, which is a class H felony. She is being held on a $25,000 bond at the Cabarrus County Detention Center.
