CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect responsible for robbing two Charlotte businesses.

According to CMPD, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located in the 2800 block of Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road on September 18. When officers arrived on scene, they were told by store employees that a black male robbed the business at gunpoint for fleeing.

Just before 1 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to the Family Dollar in the 500 block of Valleydale Road for an armed robbery report. Employees told officers that a black male armed with a handgun entered the store and demanded money from the clerk, police say. Witnesses told police that the suspect fired a shot while inside the store and fled after receiving the money.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-30’s to 40’s and about six feet tall. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, a black hat and white sneakers.
