CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect who robbed a Ballantyne convenience store.

According to CMPD, officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the 7-Eleven, located at 10806 Providence Road a little after midnight Friday night. Police say a white male entered the store and robbed the cashier at gunpoint before fleeing the store.

The suspect is described by police as a white or Hispanic male with a thin build, unshaven stubble, and armed with a handgun.

Investigators say the same suspect is responsible for an armed robbery in Union County later that day.
