CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The search continues for the suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a southwest Charlotte 7-Eleven clerk.

CMPD said 7-Eleven is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of 55-year-old Khaled Mohamad Elmerkabaoui's murder suspect. Crime Stoppers added another $5,000 to 7-Eleven's offering for a total reward of up to $15,000.

On December 9, CMPD responded to a 7-Eleven store in the 700 block of Westinghouse Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. When officers arrived, Elmerkabaoui was found with apparent gunshot wounds inside the store. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

CMPD is also asking for the public's assistance in locating five possible witnesses of the deadly shooting incident.
