IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. -- A woman was arrested Tuesday after police found her in possession of a large amount of pills and a pair of brass knuckles.

Deputies of Iredell County Sheriff's Office were conducting a license check point on Monticello Road and Miller Farm Road when a black Chevrolet truck pulled up, smelling strongly of marijuana, police say.

Deputy Caskaddon asked the driver to pull over and searched the vehicle.

According to officials, Kimberly Lorraine Ward was a passenger in the vehicle and found to be in possession the equivalent of 30.3 grams of Dilaudid pills, 21.1 grams of hydromorphone pills and a pair of brass knuckles.

Ward was arrested and taken to Iredell County Detention Center where she received a $500,000 bond.
