LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- A Lincoln County man is facing a number of child sexual assault charges.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says two children were sexually assaulted between October 2009 and August 2014. The children, a male and female, were ages five and 11 when the incidents started.

Rey David Blanco-Palmar, 34, was arrested and charged with four felony counts of indecent liberties of a child, three felony counts of first degree sexual offense with a child under 13 years, one count of felony attempted first degree sex offense and one felony count of second degree kidnapping.

Blanco-Palmar was placed under a $500,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on Friday.
