ALBEMARLE, N.C. -- Police have issued and served warrants on Deon Novell Jackson, 42, after he allegedly broke into a woman's home and injured her infant son.
On Friday around 10:30 pm, officers with the Albemarle Police Department responded to the 200 block of S. Morrow Ave after a woman dialed 911 who was crying hysterically. Once on scene, officers found a female crying, holding her infant child. The woman stated that Deon Jackson broke into her home, assaulted her, stole items from the home and threw her child to the ground causing injury to the infant.
Jackson fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.
First Aid was rendered to the child until medics arrived and took the child to the hospital. The child was released from the hospital and doing fine.
Warrants were issued and served on Jackson for Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Felony Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury and Misdemeanor Assault on a Female. He received a $250,000.00 secured bond and his next court date is April 17 at 9:00 am.
