CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman shot and killed in a domestic dispute in east Charlotte Monday was identified by police.
The victim was 27-year-old Tulvel Denise McDougald, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
It happened just before 2 p.m. in the 13200 block of Great Laurel Road. Officers responded to a call referencing a domestic violence assault with a deadly weapon.
When they arrived, officers found McDougald inside a home with a gunshot wound. Medic pronounced her dead on scene.
A person of interest was detained at the residence; police said he was cooperating. No additional suspects were being sought.
