CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two victims were robbed and assaulted early Tuesday morning when sitting inside a vehicle at the Tuskaseegee Recreation Center, CMPD says.

Three suspects, one armed with a handgun, approached the vehicle and pulled both victims out of it.

According to CMPD, one victim was physically assaulted as the suspects attempted to rob them. The victim was able to call 911 spurring the suspects to flee. As they ran, one suspect fired the handgun.

No one was struck but the male victim received lacerations from the assault.

Police were able to locate and charge 18-year-old Edward Donnell Livingston with attempted armed robbery, aggravated assault and an OFA for a probation violation.
