CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- There’s a new way to play golf in Charlotte, and it doesn’t even include a golf course. Topgolf Charlotte opens Friday in the Queen City.
“It’s something that Charlotte’s never seen before, and it’s so community driven,” says Marketing Manager Madison Martin. “We’re so focused in being involved in the Charlotte community and just bringing a great entertainment space.”
The concept started back in 2000 in London. Now, with over 30 locations in the U.S, this one is the first in the Carolinas.
Here’s how it works: You don’t have to be good at golf to enjoy it. Clubs and golf balls are provided. You choose a hitting bay, and pay hourly. The more targets you hit, the more points you score.
“All of our golf balls have microchips in them, so when you hit them, you know exactly how far your golf ball went,” Martin says.
Not into golf? The food and entertainment is just as good! Donut holes and chicken and waffles are just a few favorites on the menu. There’s something for all ages, taste buds, and skill levels.
