CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It couldn't have been a more beautiful Mother's Day.
Sunny and warm, no clouds in the sky and lots and lots of flowers.
Hundreds of Charlotte mothers enjoyed the special day at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. Mother's Day is actually their most popular day of the year.
The crowd enjoyed free admission, live music and crafts with the kids.
"We're actually from Rochester, New York and we usually go to the Lilac Festival there on Mother's Day, so it's nice to still get to be outside and see some beautiful gardens," one mother said.
The first 250 moms in the door Sunday morning also received a free plant.
