CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It’s not every day you get to do lunges with former NFL wide receiver, Randy Moss. But on Mondays and Wednesdays, you can!
Moss is one of the trainers at STAX Fitness Bootcamp, an hour long, FREE full body workout.
“You have different levels of fitness,” Moss says. “You have people coming from around the state, not just the county, and it’s a family oriented atmosphere. Everybody’s pulling for one another. We’re rooting one another on.”
Moss teamed up with CrossFit Games athlete, Emily Breeze Ross Watson, who gained national attention when a video of her working out pregnant went viral. As a now-mother, Watson works to spread inspiration and workouts for Queen City moms. Together, Watson and Ross are getting Charlotte in shape.
“We want people to know that fitness is there and that it’s an option, and you can take some of these skills and movements we do here and do them on vacation or with minimal equipment, anywhere you go,” says Watson.
And as a fit mom herself, Breeze encourages others to join in for the quick workout.
“Moms, you know, our time just gets eaten up,” she says. “It goes from having all this time to barely any, and I want you to know that you can take your baby as a weight, or just walk around the park or wherever you are, and do these movements and feel the difference.”
