CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Medic says two people are hurt following a multiple-vehicle crash involving an ambulance in north Charlotte Wednesday night.

Medic said the crash took place near the intersection of Old Statesville Road and W.T. Harris Boulevard. At the time of the crash, the ambulance was occupied by two Medic employees.

The ambulance was en route to a call, Medic said.

Medic transported an employee of its own and a person from the other vehicle involved in the crash. Both injuries are believed to be minor, Medic said.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
