Cam Newton suffers concussion during Sunday's game
Panther's quarterback Cam Newton suffered a concussion during Sunday's loss to the Atlanta falcons, the team announced. Derek Anderson took over for the Panthers during the fourth quarter. Hurricane Matthew closes in on Haiti, Jamaica and Cuba
Hurricane Matthew is barreling its way through the Caribbean and toward Haiti, Jamaica and Cuba. Meteorologists said the Category 4 storm could pose a threat to the U.S. by week's end.
Matthew briefly reached maximum Category 5 status Friday, making it the strongest Atlantic hurricane in almost a decade. The storm was expected to remain a powerful and dangerous hurricane into Tuesday, forecasters said.
The body of the 13-year-old who mysteriously went missing in July 2013 was found Friday.
Authorities said Sandy Parsons, Erica's adoptive father, was brought from prison to point out exactly where Erica Parsons was buried. Sandy was immediately taken back to federal prison where he and Casey Parsons, Erica's adoptive mother, are both serving sentences for fraud charges. CMPD to release all dashcam footage of Keith Scott shooting
CMPD is expected to release all footage taken by officers during the fatal shooting of Keith Lamont Scott during the first week of October.
According to the CMPD, the footage contains nearly two hours of body cam video. It has been nearly two weeks since the shooting which sparked protesting and riots throughout Charlotte.
Police have released edited footage, 911 calls and radio traffic following Scott's wife cell phone footage release of the fatal police shooting. However, unanswered questions have protesters demanding the release of all of CMPD's footage.
Clinton's visit to Charlotte
Hillary Clinton had a full agenda while visiting Charlotte Sunday. Her first visit was with Little Rock AME Zion Church where she spoke to the congregation. During her speech, Clinton called for reform of the criminal justice system and said police officers need more training in how to de-escalate tense and emotional situations.
