1. Major step forward for CMS' controversial reassignment plan

Tuesday night marks a major step forward for the controversial plan to change where hundreds of CMS students go to school.

2. Security increased at local middle school following threat

Security will be increased Tuesday at Marvin Ridge Middle School as Union County officials investigate an alleged threat found written in the bathroom.

According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, the alleged threat was found in a boys' bathroom stall and said that a shooting will occur at the school on Tuesday. To read more, click here.

3. Kevin Olsen indicted on rape charges

UNC-Charlotte quarterback Kevin Olsen was indicted Monday by a grand jury on rape charges stemming from a February sexual assault. 

Olsen was indicted on three counts of second-degree forcible rape, two counts of assault on a female, and on count of second-degree forcible sexual offense. For more info, click here.

4. Drivers can take advantage of newly finished construction

A major bridge and road project that has been in the works for years is finally finished. Drivers can begin taking advantage of the new construction Tuesday.

5. Derby champ Always Dreaming hits the trail for the Preakness

Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming travels from Louisville to Baltimore Tuesday in preparation for the Preakness.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, Always Dreaming is likely to be the heavy favorite for the May 20 race and will try to become the fifth horse in the last 10 years to win the first two legs of the Triple Crown.
