MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. -- Charlotte Fire says firefighters were on the scene to rescue cows after a barn collapsed in Steele Creek Wednesday night.

Firefighters say the collapse took place in the 13600 block of Brown-Grier Road. NBC Charlotte crews on the scene were told that two cows were inside the barn when it collapsed. One cow died, CFD tells NBC Charlote.
