CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police is searching for the driver they say hit a power pole on a busy South Charlotte road.
According to CMPD, a driver hit a pole in the 1400 block of Runnymede Lane in south Charlotte early Thursday morning. Police say the driver left the scene after the crash.
As of 6:20 a.m., traffic was being diverted to Colony Road while crews worked to clear the road. Duke Power was called to the scene by officials.
