1. Thieves targeting Harris Teeter shoppers

A quick trip to the Cotswold Harris Teeter turned into a shopping nightmare for one Charlotte woman.

Her claim isn't the only of its kind. Multiple people have come out of the woodwork claiming crooks are using similar tactics to swindle customers at local Harris Teeters. 

Here's what you need to know.

2. Should 16 & 17-year-olds be tried in adult court?

The Mecklenburg County Commission is being asked to support legislation that has come to be called, "Raise the Age."

The law would raise the age of consideration as a juvenile from 16 to 18 & would do away with trying young offenders in adult court.

North Carolina is the only state that still allows 16 and 17-year-olds to be tried in adult court and serve time in adult prisons. To learn more, click here.

3. Kentucky Derby draw on tap

With the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby set for Saturday, the race’s draw takes place Wednesday at 11 a.m. ET, which will determine the start gate positions for all 20 horses at Churchill Downs.
