CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It will be sunny and cool this weekend in the Carolinas.

While we're expected to see sun throughout the weekend, the mornings are expected to be frosty. Frost advisory was issued in Burke, Cleveland, Catawba, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Iredell, Lincoln and Stanly counties for Saturday morning. However, later in the the day temperatures will warm to the upper 60s.

Look for sunny skies Sunday, with highs in the low 70s.

"Next week a major warmup is on the way," Forecaster Larry Sprinkle said.

Sunny skies however, may also be bad news for those with seasonal allergies. Chief Meteorologist Brad Panovich says pollen levels are expected to be sky-high this weekend.

"Oak is the stuff that'll make you sneeze," Panovich says.

Monday through midweek will be warm and sunny, with highs each day in the upper 70s. Dry weather is expected through  Thursday.
