CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An international festival celebrated by Hindus around the world came to the Queen City this weekend.
The colorful Indian festival known as 'Ratha Yatra' or Parade of Chariots at the Hindu Center in east Charlotte.

In eastern India, where the tradition originated it marks the time each year that the “trinity of deities".
Two brothers and a sister leave the temple and parade among worshipers in special chariots pulled by ropes.
The colorful festival also included Indian food, music and dancing.
