YORK COUNTY, S.C. -- The 71-year-old man who was killed Sunday evening in a car crash in York County has been identified.

The accident happened around 10:00 p.m. on Regent Parkway about five miles north of Fort Mill. Highway patrol said a car, driven by 58-year-old Rosann Visalli of Indian Land, ran off the right side of the road and struck a bridge abutment.

Rosann was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries. Her passenger, 71-year-old Rocco Visalli of Indian Land, was pronounced dead on the scene. Troopers said Rosann was wearing a seatbelt, while Rocco was not.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol was investigating the crash. Results from autopsy and toxicology reports were pending as of 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
