CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person was seriously injured in a northeast Charlotte house fire Wednesday morning, officials said.

According to Charlotte Fire, emergency crews responded to a reported fire in the 11000 block of Leadenhall Lane near UNC-Charlotte around 10:30 a.m. Fire officials say that crews found an extinguished grease fire when they arrived and at least one person was injured.

Medic says that person was taken to CMC with life-threatening injuries as a result of the fire.
