YORK COUNTY, S.C. -- South Carolina voters will have to choose Tuesday between two candidates vying for their vote to the United States Senate.

Since being sworn in back in 2013, incumbent Senator Tim Scott on the Republican side has been working to keep his seat.

Scott hopes to redevelop some of the poorest areas of South Carolina without pushing current residents out. This as well as tax reforms are on his agenda in an effort to help our economy and give more school choices to students.

The Senator has continued to voice his support of Donald Trump throughout the election.

Democratic challenger Thomas Dixon has a focus on criminal justice reform, background checks for gun sales and expanding the affordable care act.

Dixon is also working to create better relationships between police and communities.
