UNION COUNTY, N.C. – Drivers in Union County experienced delays after a tractor-trailer overturned early Tuesday morning.
North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Lancaster Highway near South Potter Road around 3 a.m. When authorities arrived, they found an overturned tractor-trailer blocking the roadway. State troopers said the driver was making a right turn from Potter Road onto Lancaster Highway but didn't make a sharp enough turn and the trailer disconnected from the tractor and overturned.
No injuries have been reported by police. According to NCDOT, the road is expected to reopen around 7 a.m.
