GASTONIA, N.C. -- A woman was seriously hurt in a house fire in Gaston County on Wednesday.
It happened in the afternoon on Weir Lane in Gastonia. When crews arrived on the scene, they found smoke showing from the home and neighbors saying someone was inside.
Firefighters went into the house and found a woman in her bedroom. She was rushed to Gaston Memorial Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is investigation.
