CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Masters champion Patrick Reed will bring his game to Charlotte and compete in the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow, officials announced Friday.

Reed earned the first major championship of his career last weekend at Augusta National Golf Club to earn the green jacket. Reed's previous career-best finish in a major tournament was at Quail Hollow last August when he finished tied for second in the PGA Championship.

This season's tournament will be Reed's sixth start at Quail Hollow.

Players have until April 27 to commit to this year's Wells Fargo Championship, which is scheduled from April 30-May 6. Players currently committed include Jason Day, Rickie Fowler and Rory McIlroy.
