CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Hornets announced Wednesday that guard Kemba Walker underwent a procedure on his left knee.

The Hornets say Walker underwent a successful minor arthroscopic procedure on his left knee. The typical recovery time for this procedure is about six weeks, the Hornets said.

Walker is well known for his skill on the court.

In his sixth season in Charlotte, Walker appeared in 79 games averaging a career-high 23.3 points, 5.5 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 34.7 minutes per game.

According to the Hornets, Walker was also named to the 2017 Easter Conference All-Star team, which is the first NBA All-Star appearance of his career.
