Snowstorm forces Checkers to close Wednesday's game

Due to a large winter storm bringing several inches of snow to the Queen City, the Charlotte Checkers announced that Wednesday night's game will be closed to the public.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Due to a large winter storm bringing several inches of snow to the Queen City, the Charlotte Checkers announced that Wednesday night’s game will be closed to the public.

The Checkers were originally set to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at Bojangles’ Coliseum at 7 p.m. Wednesday, but due to inclement weather, the game has been pushed up 5 p.m.

Ticket holders for the game will be allowed to exchange their tickets for a future game, according to Checkers officials. To exchange tickets, fans are asked to call the Checkers’ main ticket office at 704-342-4423. You can also email the ticket office at tickets@gocheckers.com.
