CHARLOTTE- Perfect isn't a word you hear a whole lot in sports, but it describes the Belmont Middle School girls soccer team to a tee.
The girls went undefeated this season and finished 12-0.
"It feels really good. We all work together and it feels good that we all made this as a team," Trinity Knauf said.
She's the captain of the team and her accomplishments show why she's one of the leaders.
"I just go out there and play my game," Knauf explained.
Her game is no joke. The eighth grade soccer star had a county record 46 goals this season and 70 career goals.
"I knew I had a lot of goals, but I didn't know I would achieve getting that many, honestly," Knauf said.
For her, the season is much more about what the team accomplished than how many balls she put in the back of the net.
"It's really great because we all work together and it feels great that we all made this as a team," Knauf said.
