Motorcyclist injured in Huntersville crash

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A motorcyclist was injured in a Friday morning crash in Huntersville.

Shortly before 9 a.m., the Huntersville Fire Department, the Huntersville Police Department, and MEDIC responded to the crash near Stumptown Road and Hugh McAuley Road, which is located a little more than a mile south of Sam Furr Road and Interstate 77.

The patient, who was not publicly identified, was transported by Medic ambulance alongside a police escort to the hospital for treatment of injuries. 

In the aftermath of the crash, the roadway was closed while a crash investigation was conducted.
