If it feels like we've had a lot of rain lately, we have! We've actually seen at least a trace of rain 13 of the past 21 days at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, where data and records are kept.
We've had 4.18" of rain so far this month. This time last year we had picked up 4.82". We would normally see 2.16", so we've certainly seen above-average rainfall so far this year. Since January 1st, we've seen 8.21" of rain compared to 9.48" last year. We would normally see 5.57". We're also above normal for the Winter season, which Meteorological Winter started on December 1st.
This will be our first dry weekend this month, so get out and enjoy before more rain heads our way early next week!
