If you felt the ground shaking early Wednesday morning, you're not alone.
People across North Carolina were awakened by a confirmed earthquake.
The light earthquake occurred Wednesday around 4:14 a.m. about 7 miles (11 kilometers) northeast of Decatur. About 13 minutes later, a 3.3 magnitude aftershock then struck.
The effects were felt in a slew of North Carolina cities including Morganton, Hudson and Lancaster.
