CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Even though the severe weather had already moved out of the Charlotte area, Mother Nature wasn’t finished with the Queen City.

Strong winds downed trees across the city and even smashed a Lexus SUV in south Charlotte Thursday afternoon.

At the intersection of Buchanan Street and Dilworth Road East, a woman’s SUV was totally smashed when a gigantic tree toppled onto its roof.

Thankfully, the owner of the vehicle was inside a nearby church. When she realized the damage and how close she’d come to being hurt or worse, she called it, “an Easter miracle.”
