CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Friday will still be cool, but warmer than the past few days.

"What's stunning to me is we had another hard freeze this morning of 22 degrees. I had to go back and look up this number because today will mark the seventh straight day, a full week, of below average temperatures. We haven't seen a full week of below average temperatures since early last February, 2016," said Chief Meteorologist Brad Panovich.

Clouds are increasing for the weekend and rain will start to move in Saturday morning.

The rain will start to move into the mountains later Friday evening. The rain won't move into the Charlotte area until after midnight.

The rain will start to move out around 11 a.m. and into the afternoon most of the moisture will be gone.

High temperatures on Saturday will be near 70 degrees in most locations with lows in the 40s.
