What can I do about stinky feet? Medical term is “bromhidrosis”, which is the “smell” of the bacteria that lives on our skin. The source of the odor is isovaleric acid, which the bacteria produces. Wash feet regularly- I suggest twice daily (wash everything twice daily) can be useful to use a bacterial soap. Breathable covering- cotton socks only, no nylon or acrylic fabric, leather insoles, or in sock free weather, leather lining of shoes. Use antiperspirant, the same as you might on your underarm- Rx options include Drysol, or prescription deodorants…still have that smell? See your doctor. There may be more going on, fungus, etc. Natural remedies can also include eucalyptus or cypress oil in your foot bath, powders that contain clay.
Why are my breasts different sizes?-firstly, it is TOTALLY NORMAL. Most often noticed during puberty, can be up to 2 cup sizes. Your feet are probably slightly off too, up to half a size different commonly. Don’t take it personally, it is the genetic variance that makes humans fun. You can try bras made for that, with different sized cup inserts, or buy the larger cup size and get an insert for the peewee boob ( can I say that, probably no) Ultimately, the only way to correct it is with surgery, and you can see your friendly local plastic surgeon for that.
Why am I constipated? Constipation is one of those topics few like to talk about but we know it affects approximately 2% of the population in the U.S., almost everyone at some point. Women and the elderly are more commonly affected. Constipation is really an issue if chronic. SO- two or more of the following for at least 3 months: Straining during a bowel movement, sensation of incomplete evacuation, or 2 or fewer bowel movements in a week. Reasons? Inadequate water/fiber intake, A disruption of regular diet or routine; traveling, lack of exercise, large amounts of any one type of food, chronic laxatives, stress, pregnancy, bowel conditions, depression, MEDICINES, antacids….everything and anything. Address those things, but if it persists, see your Dr- it can tell us something else is going on.
Why am I so gassy lately? We are not talking about beans in this segment. Gas is the byproduct of food fermenting in your gut/colon. More fiber, “nature’s broom” and the food moves out. There are other causes, however- not eating, airplanes, dentures that don’t fit (increased air intake), artificial sweeteners, smoking…anything .
