Everybody tries to be more careful during fall and winter months by building up their immune system in order to keep from getting sick. Let’s face it, there is too much on our plate during the holiday season to deal with coughs and sniffles. Here are some tips that people rarely utilize and might help eliminate more germs circulating around your house.
1. Sanitize your phone and credit cards-These items have 18x more germs than the average toilet bowl according to *The Huffington Post.
2. Wipe down your toilet paper holder- A lot of mist from your toilet sprays into the air every time you flush, so it is wise to wipe down items that are closest to it.
3. Don’t store your toothbrushes in cups-Mold develops in the bottom of the cups because of the water that leaks down from the brushes head after you clean your teeth. After awhile, the mold will get on your toothbrush and into your mouth. That’s the fast lane for illness.
4. Disinfect your light switches-Bacteria travels from person to person, so if you wipe your nose and touch a light switch then the next person who touches it will get your germs.
There are plenty of germs floating around in the air and we want you to keep your family happy and healthy for the holidays. A little bit of cleaning can go a long way.
