4. The Campground Massacre: if you love Sci-Fi and Horror Movies then this “haunted place” promises a thrill.

5. Scarowinds: this is popular among the tweens and teens, because not only do they have 11 of scary places, but you can ride the roller coasters at night too!

6. Spencer Mountain's Haunted Mansion (30 minutes west of Charlotte): it’s a real haunted house that I’m told will really scare you and mess with your mind.

7. Terror by the Creek (just an hour outside of Charlotte): They closed the old grist mill because no one would go near it. After all 25 people were murdered in that place, there’s a pretty good chance it haunted.

8. The Bloody Reigh of the Mad Miner-Haunted House in Midland NC (30 minutes easr of Charlotte): if you like Huanted Houses based on urban legends then his one involves a murder. It portrays the story of a gold miner driven to murder his mail-order bride.

9. The Haunted Mill in Belmont: of course old mills have great stories and for 10 years this place has been one of Charlotte’s most exciting Haunted Houses.

10. The Old Haunted School: What gets scarier than a haunted school? And this place looks creepy! From US-52 in Albemarle turn onto Prospect Church Road when you get to the yellow flashing light turn left onto Mountain Creek Road They’re on the Left.

11. The Haunting: They claim they’re the only haunted house on Lake Norman. I can only imagine the scary unknown on the water…at night. Yikes!

12. 13 Doors Haunted House “Circus of Syndrome”: it’s a bunch of Circus Performers going wild. In this stage like performance, this will change the way you think about Haunted Houses.

13. Scarrigan Farms: features a haunted trail and scare zones, this farm turns into fun, family friendly “scary” place for October.

14. NC Fright Factory: it’s Uptown’s largest haunted house. It features multiple horrifying rooms and coffin rides. Yup, coffin rides!

15. Nightmare on Independence: features the Mystery Mansion and Freak Show. You can also play a frightful round of miniature golf.
