Mariano's homemade Italian tomato sauce

Low heat in large saucepan add olive oil
 
4-6 cloves of garlic - diced
1 medium yellow onion - chopped
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
 
Add garlic, onion and parsley to already hot oil
Slow cook until onions are clear
 
½ cap Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper
Add ½ lb meat – brown the meat
 
Add 6 oz tomato paste
Cook for 5 minutes
 
Add 2 teaspoons of sugar
Add 4,  8oz. cans of tomato sauce
Fill each empty can  ¼ of the way with water and add
 
Turn up heat to medium and bring sauce to boil
 
Reduce to low heat and cook 2-3 hours
