Stove-Top Tamale Pie (air date: October 22)
1 ½ lb ground beef “Butchers Brand”
2 cans tomato sauce “ME”
1 can Kidney Beans (drained) “ME”
1 Pkg taco seasoning mix “ME”
1 Pkg corn muffin mix “ME”
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese “ME”
½ cup sliced green onions
Brown ground beef in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat.
Stir in taco seasoning mix, tomato sauce, and beans. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare corn muffin mix as directed on package. Drop small spoonfuls of batter over meat mixture. Cover.
Cook on medium-low heat 15 minutes or until corn bread is cooked through. Sprinkle with cheese and green onions. Cover. Cook on low heat until cheese is melted.

2 cups sliced fresh or frozen strawberries “Food Lion Brand”
2 cups angel food cake, cut into squares “Food Lion Brand”
Layer ingredients in clear, glass container for a beautiful presentation.
