3/4 c. lard (Crisco®)
2 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans, chopped
Mix together Crisco, sugar and salt.
Add in beaten eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour and baking powder, then add to the mixture.
Fold in pecans.
Divide batter into 3 portions and shape into rolls on slightly
floured wax paper.
Wrap tightly and place in refrigerator overnight.
Preheat oven to 350ºF. With a sharp knife, slice rolls
into very thin cookies and place on a slightly greased
