Heist Brewery, located in NoDa, is the new kid on the block, as far as Charlotte Breweries are concerned. But the folks running the place are not rookies. Stephon Huebner, a regular guest of Charlotte Today, has been behind bars in our area for the past 17 years. His craft cocktails, like the Horney Toad, are popular among fans. But the beer purist love the craft beers brewed right there in the pub; everything from a light logger to a stout. For non-alcoholic drinkers Heist makes their own sodas which have no preservatives or corn syrup. Flavors range from orange cream, root beer, and black cherry.
Heist is a “Brew Pub” which means they have a full kitchen. And the food presentation prompts guests to take photos. Food comes in test tube, on slate slabs, surrounded by cotton candy, or blow torched at your table. Chef Rob Masone calls it a twist on American cuisine. Popular dishes are the Japanese black wing, Himalayan shrimp sticks, and the torched Diablo. Heist also boast a full bakery, so all of their bread is made fresh in house. They also sell their bread at shops around Charlotte.
They make their own beer, they make their own food, and Heist Brewery wants their guests to come and make their own experience time and time again. For more information visit www.heistbrewery.com
